One Whole Month of Crafty.

School Crafty.
I used my Cricut to make headers for our class science fair projects. The soda cans are hot glued on there. and I had to add the stars because I put the lettering on UPSIDE DOWN. Am so stupid sometimes.
One of our projects was "Does diet soda really have less sugar than regular soda?" Check it out. diet soda floats!
We also used a homemade hydrometer to measure the density of the soda. We added suagr to a cup of water until it matched. There are 3 teaspoons of sugar in a can of Dr. Pepper... and the density of the diet soda, matched the plain water with no sugar added. Still not enough to convince me to drink diet. YUCK. I love the real stuff for the tsate. Sorry.
The other experiment was "Who is faster, boys or girls?" According to our research (olympic records) men are faster than women.... and after racing & timing...yes the boys were on average faster. One of my girls was faster than mostof my boys though.
I am so ready for science fair to be OVER.

Pages
I actually SEWED on this page. I Do not sew, not even buttons... but the little heart demanded it. Pics of my niece taken this summer, enjoying her first Oreo.
My dad is a nature fiend. I took these pics at Sabino Canyon near Tucson. The journaling reads something like: I got my love of nature from my dad the park ranger. I just happen to prefer a hotel bed to a tent!
This was a redo. The original page had the same basic LO but I changed the pics and the title and added the brads. Chris Botti is an amazing trumpet player. haven't heard of him? Click the link on my sidebar.
My grandpa and uncle in the backseat of my dad's car during out roadtrip through AZ last February. My grandpa was sticking his tongue out at me in the bottom picture. LOL.
My niece enjoying a bath in my tub. I always love when I can experience something ordinary in her life like this. That's what the journaling is about.

Nothin's gonna harm you...
Didn't used to be so fond of this song, then Anaheim happened and I was able to be up near the stage for it. Josh sits on the egde of the stage when he sings this one, and invites the first four rows to gather around him while he sings and signs things for them. Only 1 person bettween me and Josh. Then I saw Sweeney Todd... and now, I just love it. These pics were taken in Phoenix from my row 12 seat with my zoom lens, my Anaheim ones are way better.
I actually used some of my new Christmas paper to make these pages. I really needed to escape my own self made red & black curse. I'd only scrapped Josh on red & black for so long (my whole Vegas album) that I was begining to worry if I could move away from that. These pages proved I was able to.
Also there is this coffee cup I made for Jena a couple weeks ago. I mentioned it here. She's finally recieved it in the mail so I can share it here now. It says "squee" down the right side next to the picture of Josh holding coffee.

In Her Eyes
IN HER EYES
She sees something more
Believes there's a light in me
She is sure
And her truth makes me stronger
Does she realize
I awake every morning
With her strength by my side
Iam not a hero
I am not an angel
I am just a man
Man who's trying to love her
Unlike any other
In her eyes I am
This world keeps on spinning
Only she stills my heart
She's my inspiration
She's my northern star
I don't count my possessions
All I call mine
I will give her completely
To the end of all time
(repeat chorus)
Here's a short video clip of Josh singing this song in Amsterdam (He sings it right to the person holding tha camera. gah. Watching vids of this song live make me cry. I can not wait for the Awake dvd.

This is Me Journal
Made this pretty little thing for THIS challenge.
Can't decide if I like it better with or without the stars. (They aren't attached yet).
What do you think? If you are reading this comment! PLEASE!
The journal was only $1 from Michael's & was already damask & black. I just added the pretties.
I did work on the minibook too, and made a card for a friend, but won't post it until she gets it.

Green & Brown
This page is actually my favorite of the three. I really love how it turned out. Pictures by me.I used Basic Grey "Infuse" for this one and the one above it. The first one was made with 3 Bugs in a Rug "Back Porch." The journaling spots on these are by Dasiy D's.

Happy Ivan, Birthday Boy
Cropped!
A little bit about these LOs.
You Biffer: While Sally was here she learned a fun new phase, "Biff it" which became "You Biffer!" She even had it put on a shirt. On the page is a picture of me from our trip, shortly after I "biffed it" and almost cracked my head open. It was my own fault for jumping on the bed.
Aunt Kimmy: Underneath the Shakespere quote is hidden journaling about how much I adore Kaitee. I love the green & pink graph book paper by Love, Elsie. Funny beinga teacher I didn't even realize it was a gradebook until Lou pointed it out. The pictures were taken on seperate occasions, but I'm wearing the same outfit, even my accessories are the same. (It's also what I wore to the Anaheim concert).
Sweet Girl: A picture I took of Kaitee at her first birthday party. I love how this one is so simple. I used a kit from Scrap Addict for the papers. The ribbon was given to me by my friend Amy and the stamps are ones I gave Lou for Christmas.
Fabulous Fall: The pictures are my cousins back in Michigan when I visted them in Fall of '06 and we went to a cider mill. They all climbed up the tree and looked so cute.
Hey Hay!: More pictures formt eh cider mill trip. My cousin Zachary is ontop of the haystack in the top pic and the bottom one just amuses me. The sign says " No climbing, $100 Fine" and the haystacks are covered with kids.
Little Artist: Another picture from my trip to Michigan in Fall of '06. My cousin Miranda is impossible to get a picture of, but I really love this one, even though you can't see her whole face. Her toothless grin and crayon picture just make me smile.
I've got another 2 page LO to share that I just finished, as my nap was rudely interrupted by my noisy neighbors. Since this one is already full of pics, I'll post that seperately later.

Hot Tamale!
I am feeling MUCH MUCH better today. The Dr. gave me antibiotics yesterday. YAY!
This LO was fun. When Sally came to visit from Engalnd we had to teach her how to make Mexicican food. I've had that Mexican blanket paper forever. This was the perfect thing to use it on. :) I love "Thickers", but I hate how they dont STICK. I had to use adhesive on them. How annoying. They market them as "thick" stickers...stickers are supposed to stick. I wouldn't mind tacking them down myself if they weren't marketed as stickers in the first place.

My December
Here's a video of Josh singing "My December" from Live at the Greek.
I love this song. It's a cover of a Linkin park song, and I think Josh's version rocks more, though I may be a tad biased there. :P

Happy Halloween?
Anyway, since I suffered through kids, I figured I couldn't break my goal. I took a nice nap on my couch. Then I grabbed scraps from my power outage page and made a quick Halloween card. Seriously, it took me less than 10 minutes. It's going in my card box for next Halloween. I decorated it inside & out. Now I need to chug some Nyquil and crawl back in bed for 12 hours.

I'm Blue.... da be de da be do.
On the 2nd page I added rain dots to the swirlies to give them more dimension, I think it looks really neat. It was based off a sketch from "Gettin' Sketchy." Check out their link to the right. A new sketch is posted once a month. :)
