My new Basic Grey came yesterday. I drooled over it, I smelled it, and then I played with it.
Made this little house for my mom ( chipboard house byDoodlebug).

Did this LO today. For the latest Category Stories Challenge.I really need to upadte my links so I can include some more of the challenge blogs I've found.

I made this album out of ticket stubs and concert programs. Inspired by The Art is Found.

Ren faire, here & there.

~~~Removed one image~~~~
and another page from RenFaire. Which I covered all my cleavage in...
both of these pages were made with a digital kit which I printed elements out from and traditionaly scrapped. Hybrid pages they are called (for you nonscrappers out there).
This one looks so much more vibrant... I'll have to take another photo of it. This doesn't do justice to the colors.
A few pages from the Phoenix Josh show a year ago. (3/25/07)
I scrapped one of these on the anniversary of that show.
Not so sure I like the girliness of them. Both from sketches.
A Rusty Pickle Pirate Book I made in a class last August, but finally put pictures in tonight.
We're doing another Rusty Pickle class next month, am excited!! Amy did you get the email about it? If not I'll fwd it to you.
Seuss Inspired LO
For the current scrap mojo challenge. Turned out to be a fussy page, but I really like how it came out. Pictures of me from when I was 10 years old and broke my arm. So glad my mom took these. It's a very vivd memory and I've got a scar to show for it. There is journaling under the Suess quote, if you wnat to read it go visit my SIStv gallery.
Kinda grumpy today. I know I have work to do for school but am trying to avoid it. I also have been denied my fave site today because it's having issues. Blah. I did a virus scan in case that was the problem, probably, it found something and made some scary noises... like nuclear meltdown noise. Dear whoever designs virus scanning software... DON"T DO THAT! It's not cool. :(
I think I may just go take a nap before tackling school junk. Perhaps I will go in tomorrow. My plan is Thursday, but maybe I'll feel up to it tomorrow.
2 Layouts
I made this PINK LO today for the Concroption DT challenge.
Pictures from the day my sister was born...
My fave part of the LO... the folded ribbon under the title.
The journaling. I made this one last night, from the Pencil Lines Sketch by Audrey Neal. I took it up a notch and followed some of my SISters and made myself use fabric, eyelets, & buttons on it. :) The journaling is about how my dad's feet look just like mine. (Yes, I was random and took a pic of my dad's feet when he was sleeping...LOL I showed him this LO tonight and he laughed).
Love this part! Used another of the MM tag maker frames. & Thanks for the offer Joscie, but I have just heard bad things about it so far, so save yourself the shipping. :) Thanks though for offering it to me, that was so sweet!
Happy Easter!
I figured out the secret to finding lost mojo... clean up your scrapspace. LOL I organized my desk the yesterday and today I just wanted to make make make things!!!
My lovely clean organized drawer. My scrap table is a kitchen table with a drawer on one side. Oh how I love my drawer. Until yesterday though it was so full of crap I couldn't find anything.
Expanse of clean clear desk. I finally got a lot of the gunk off my scraptable... I used Stayz-on remover. It worked wonders! The basket has bags of scrap paper in them, sorted by size & type.
All my tools live in the containers to the left, including a flowerpot decopauged with Basic Grey.
My new ribbon storage for my loose ribbon bits. I got tired of ziplock baggies. I got these containers for $1 each at the dollar store.
The easiest page ever. Fancy Pants transparency, bling, & American Craft felty things. I think it needs something though... too much white space. Beautiful picture taken by Kaitee's awesome Aunt Amy.
My dog Bindi with bunny ears. I had to do an Easter LO on Easter. This is my first Easter LO ever. I just haven't had any Easter pics to scrap before. The letters are Xmas letters from KI. The heart is one of the MM tag maker...I just painted the frame and tied a ribbon on it. I don't have the tag machine... though am considering it. Anyone have one and love it? Hate it? Opinions please!
An Easter card for my parents. I used Daisy D's fall paper to make it. I love the velvet Thickers, but hate that they refuse to stick. :( I had to run them through my Xyron.
Happy Easter to all my bloggy friends!
Overdue Post
It's been almost a week since I posted. I've been busy/tired but I have made something each night... I made this page after that post. I finally scrapbooked the picture I'd been holding onto for 3 years.
Tuesday: JoshFloss (it's a weird Grobie thing that began at my house and spread ... JoshFloss has been photographed all over the world, even with Josh himself!! This one is going to be on the radio on monday.) & the beginings of an ATC card for a swap.
Wednesday: Josh Goodies. All that stuff was bought at one concert: 3 tshirts, 1 mug, 1hoodie, & 2 teddybears. Yeah. I have problems. LOL I am not overly fond of this page... I was really tired when i made it, I'd run out of the letter S and had to use 5's instead. I don't like the way it came out :(
Thursday: Pictures from our trip to Sedona last summer. Despite the clouds it was still gorgeous.
Friday: I went to a crop. I made these two pages (one with tiles I decorated with alcohol inks...which was way too much fun. Now I need to buy some.) I also made the rest of my hottie cards for the swap.
You can't see the teddybear, but it's in both of those pictures. My dad even posed with it. He's so awesome.
Today: I cleaned my scrap desk (YAY!!!) & made this page for the Sisterhood of Scrap challenge which was to use 2 ribbons and a question mark. The title is what Josh said after I handed him the scrapbook above. There was a little girl in front of me and we showed her the book during intermission. It had a picture of Josh in HS in it.. and so when I gave it to him she said...I saw you in High School!" Josh's response... "Me? in High School?" Yeah, he's touching our scrapbook there (in the top pic)... and it's sitting on his PIANO. Gah.
Happy Josh-i-versarry to me!
3 years ago today I gave Josh a scrapbook that I made with a friend for him. I got to hand it to him...it was a particularly awesome moment. Here's a picture of that...*sigh*
Today I played with my Bind It All for the first time... and made this little book. It's covered with fabric. The J is not affixed on there yet, but if I put Josh pics inside I will probbaly glue that on. Not sure if I like the way the J looks on there.
It was easy to do, but I screwed it up anyhow. First I didn't have the paper in all the way and punched my holes crooked. I just flipped it over and repunched those pages, no big..I covered the edges with red tape so it looks ok. Then I didn't think that my back cover had to be flipped backwards when I punched it to make the holes line up with the front cover... So I had to TAKE IT APART after I bound it to repunch those holes... hence the ribbon on the right side of the cover (thanks TaG for the idea..LOL). Anyway, despite my spazziness I like it. I'll probbaly decorate the inside of it later this week.
Question for you Bind It All users...when you punch the cover & the inside pages, there isn't an option for "continuous punching" that space is blocked... how do you make a bigger book then? Isn't that what the continuous punching thing is for?
I'm off to scrap one more page before bed... that picture above.
It's been sitting in my box waiting for the right moment. It's been 3 years. Now is the time.
Fixed
I had computer freakout this morning. Luckily I have a wonderful friend who is the computer whisperer. He had it fixed in less than half an hour. If I had taken it in to some place I'd have been with out it for a week or more and would have had to pay a couple hundred bucks to fix it... the motherboard overheated and wiped out my bios...not something that's fixable unless you have that computer knowledge. Must say I'm overly thankful for my friend.
Saturday I went to a Stampin' Up card class and made two of each of these cards. It was fun, I'd never been to one before. We used to go to CTMH ones once a month. I didn't buy any Stampin' Up stamps... but I did buy a new stamp scrubber, my old one is just yuck.
Today I went to a friend's house for another friend's birthday crop. I made a minibook using the March ConCroption Kit (and some other stuff) which should be posted on ConCroption soon. Here is a sneak peek. I really love how it came out. It's the first time I've played iwth one of these acrylic albums. Such fun!
I also made 2 Josh pages. Not very exciting. Both from the same song at different shows. The red shirt page is from Anaheim and the other one is from Phoenix. The accent on that page is actually a Christmas ornament from the $1 bin at Michael's. I was going it use it as a stamp, but liked the way it looked on there. There are small silver chandeliers all over that paper. I love Hambly.
I'm going to create photo collages from the other pics from that song on the opposite pages. Why the Chandeliers?? There were chandeliers on the screen behind him while he sang this one, which is one of my faves.
Happy Pi Day!
My best friend calls me Kimmy Pi, so today I celebrated Pi Day (it really is a holiday- google it) with my students and created these little works of art.
They also made similar Pi jokes. You can't read them all but there is.... PotPi (like kitchen pots, not drugs, this is 3rd grade not junior high) , American Pi, Pi in the Sky, Moon Pi, Cherry Pi, Pizza Pi. Honey Pi, & Cow Pi represented.
We continued the Pi day festivities by eating Strawberry Creme Pie and watching Sweeney Todd make people into pies. Hehe.
New Toy!
I got my Bind It All today, that I won in the ConCroption February DT contest... Haven't played with it yet (have to watch the instruction dvd...and I feel half dead now) but I took it out of the box and petted it. Here it is basking in the glow of my Josh scrap lamp. It's the sexiest lamp in the universe.
The last two scrap pages I have done were both done while exhausted, and I felt I had no mojo...despite that I'm pretty pleased with both of them.... I think.
Page one was a lift from Gettin' Sketchy. The picture is one someone took of ME! & Josh! in Anaheim. I'm handing him handcuffs to go with the hat, hence the title. Yeah this picture makes me insanely happy.
Page 2 is from picturesmy friend or I took, (we both took tons of pictures and theya re mixed up in my box...I don't remember which ones I took...) in Phoenix on March 17, 2005. It's almost my Josh-a-versarry. LOL. This was the concert where a friend and I gave him a scrapbook we made for him. It's kind of a bittersweet memory as this is the friend that I scrapped about last month, the one who no longer talks to me. I think I am going to scrapbook those pics on Monday to commemorate the event. (The ones of me handing him the book). I've scrapbooked most of this concert and have tons better pics of him since then. I've upgraded my camera and learned some things about concert photography.
My sunburn has started to peel. What a fabulous feeling. Ugh. I got some snails for my classroom today. I hear they multiply like rabbits. How exciting. LOL. I think my kids may all get some to take home at the end of the year. LOL. I started cleaning my scraproom today... moved half of my albums to a shelf in the living room. They were overflowing my scrap closet floor. Moved most of the finished ones out of there.
KaiteeBug
Yesterday I made a card for Joscie (I sent your box today let me know when it arrives) but I'm not posting that here. I was thinking of sending in a page to CK, but I always post my LOs. Argh. They want unposted ones. What whores. Most of my really fab LO are ones I've posted already. Argh. I should just unpost them and send them in... or send them to some other mag that's not run by Lisa B. (she annoys me).
Today I made this KaiteeBug page. I've been dying to use the red polka dot felt since I bought it. I've got it in pink & aqua too. :) The journaling on the ticket says "Just another crazy nickname aunt kimmy calls you" Love these pics of her squished against the window. LOL.
Scrapping in the CAR!?
I was away for the weekend and it's a long ride to Phoenix so I did my Friday create-a-thing, in the car. I scrapbooked in my "This is Me" Journal on my lap. LOL.
I did this other page after I got "home" (to Lou's brother's house) from the ren faire.
I ended up going as an elfy wench instead of a pirate, it was too hot to wear my leather pirate coat & hat...but I ended up leaving as an Fairy Pirate Wench. Yeah I bought more costume pieces. A piratey skirt w/ jingle bells on it and some feather black/red wings. Costume love.
Today when I got back to my scraproom and put my $217 worth of goodies away I made an ATC card. (Which I can't post now because blogger hates me today) I didn't like it much anyway.
Math Art!
Made this sphere out of paper plates and bobbypins with my REACH (gifted) kids today, they had a great time. You can find the instructions on http://www.wholemovement.com/
There are also instructions there to make a tetrahedron (pyramid) out of a paper plate. I posted a picture of that about a month ago- under my tags it's paper plate geometry. If you've got kids, go get the cheapest paper plates you can find (This is important!!The cheaper they are the better they fold.) and some bobby pins and try this one out! It's fun and pretty easy! I really need to order this guy's books. I also need to order that scrapbook ahesive gun like Amy's. I kept putting it off/forgetting. Must have one of those. WOOT! Found the post it with the website on it!! *runs off to order*
Last night I made this classy birthday card for a friend. I really like the black & green together.
I get to go SCRAP SHOPPING this weekend!! WOOOHOOO!!!!!!!! So Joscie I'm gonna hold off your package until next week, in case I find somehting cool at the scrappy store that screams your name. I'll let you know when I send it.
