Blast from the past

I totally ruined my Hawaii photos by glueing them into a paperscrapbook when I was 17 and stupid. I found a handful of duplicate pictures in a box that had been in a picture frame and scrapped them. I know Eldon will get a kick out of these pages.

This pictures is crap, but it deserved it's own page. It was the first time I ever saw the ocean.
I was 17... it was at Waikiki beach in hawaii, in the dark. LOL We all jumped over the waves and chased each other through the surf and ended up swimming with our clothes on. It was my favorite memory from the Hawaii trip. :D

Right after I rgaduated college I worked in a dry cleaners for the summer. It was so stress free compared to this job. All I had to worry about were creepy old guys hitting on me. But there was a nice trade off, hot policemen gave me their uniforms once a week to wash and flirted with me.
Hehe.

I made this mini album for my friend Jess who recently traveled to Europe.
See the whole thing here.

I made this art canvas (my very first canvas!) for my friend Megan. It's inspired by her fave Josh Groban song in Italian. :)

I havea couple other things made that I can't share yet... but you'll be seeing them soon!

"Awake" CHA-llenge for SIStv

This is for my CHA-ching Challenge on SIStv. If you don't belong to SIStv sign up now so you can play too! It's free... and I'm giving a prize away for this one!

"Awake"

A beautiful and blinding morning
The world outside begins to breathe
See clouds arriving without warning
I need you here to shelter me

And I know that only time will tell us how
To carry on without each other

So keep me awake to memorize you
Give me more time to feel this way
We can't stay like this forever
But I can have you next to me today

If I could make these moments endless
If I could stop the winds of change
If we just keep our eyes wide open
Then everything would stay the same

And I know that only time will tell me how
We'll carry on without each other

So keep me awake for every moment
Give us more time to be this way
We can't stay like this forever
But I can have you next to me today

We'll let tomorrow wait, you're here, right now, with me
All my fears just fall away, when you are all I see

We can't stay like this forever
But I have you here today

And I will remember
Oh I will remember
Remember all the love we shared today

PS the link at the top of the post, leads directly to the challenge on the message board. Post your finished page THERE. Thanks! :D

Girly Girl

The last few days I played with my Girly Girl Kit from SIStv... made these things with it.

Another Kaitee Mini Book.

This Tinkerbell shadowbox. A present for my friend Meg who loves Tink. :)
A birthday card made witha Home Depot paint chip (at least that place is good for something!)
for my friend Jenn who loves all things Disney.
A mini book to hold my ATCS from a recent swap.
I may use the same format for my classroom "checkbooks" that I intend to make this year.
A LO about Kaitee the furture scrapper. She just loves my scrap supplies!
This wasn't from the Girly Girl collection, it was a challenge to make a tag and include something old that means something to you (the envelope one of you might recognize), something purple, and stiped paper. : ) It will probbaly end up being the cover for a mini or something. That's my name in Korean on the heart. :)

Today I broke into my Scarlet Lime & ConCroption July Kits. LO's coming from those soon. :)

My Scraproom

There have been a few posts on SIStv lately asking to see scrapbook rooms. So I took some more pics today of mine {gave me an excuse to play with my new camera} I posted some pics on the ConCroption blog back in May but can not find htem on my computer now, So I just took new ones.

I used Basic Grey paper as wallpaper along the top edge of my wall. The blue paint color came from a stripe in that same paper. I took it to the store adn had it color matched. :) The art on the wall is coverd in coordinating BG papers and so it the switchplate. {ART, used to say CREATE, but I decided I wanted the mirror in there and so I took the CR out. Still works}
The people that lived her before me had 2 small children, and this was thier closet, so I dind't have to add shelves to it or anything. :D Small embelies in the contaniers on the top left, next to that my bind-it-all, buttons, & maya road tins, the next cubby over houses my loose ribbon in color coordinated jars, the next cubby has alterable chipboard things/mini's, then some random things. Next shelf down...more ribbons and trims in those colorful baskets, my ribbons on a spoll that used to be used for clothes, clear acrylic stamps behind that on the plexiglass, then some books and magazines & chocolate!! 3rd shelf down...the blue basket has adhesives in it, and then some rub-on alphas in the smaller container beside that. There's more of the closet you cna't see, with more acrylic stamps, my rubber stamps/blocks, a basket of tools/punches, and baggies with my kits in them.
View from the door.

The pink table holds new stuff in the baskets, alphas in the big square basket on the end (it's divided into colors with a file folder thing) and my photos in the pink damask box. I hang newer/favorite LOs on the clipboards.

There are small embellies (like brads) in the spice rack. All my chipboard letters are in the tool sorting thing. Plain cardstock is in the 12x12 paper holder. That stack of paper there is stuff I don't have room for anywhere else/want to use right away/ just finished. Magazine storage underneath.
Close up of ribbon/stamp storage.

The baskets hold my minialbums, rub ons, & chipboard. I got the paper rack at a JoAnns that was going out of business.
