One More Monday...

...until summer!!!!!!!!!!! & I can scrapbook all day long! YAY!!!!!!!!

More likely that i'll spend half of the day sleeping, but still. LOL.

Today I made this, momento box ...with the *new* Teresa collin's Travelogue paper (that I won in her blog drawing)... for my friend from Canada who is going to Europe this summer.
When she gets back I'll be making a matching mini album for her.

A page made from the latest Scarlet Lime Kit...dedicated to my best friend of 25 years (we met in Kindergarten) she's the momma of my "neice" Kaitee.

A page made from the Romantic Collection from SisTv...who is more romantic than Josh?
I took these pics on Phoenix (3-25-07) the one is a bit blurry, but I love it. "Mai" means never in Italian.. it's one of my fave songs from the Awake album. :D

Ren faire, here & there.

~~~Removed one image~~~~
and another page from RenFaire. Which I covered all my cleavage in...
both of these pages were made with a digital kit which I printed elements out from and traditionaly scrapped. Hybrid pages they are called (for you nonscrappers out there).
This one looks so much more vibrant... I'll have to take another photo of it. This doesn't do justice to the colors.
A few pages from the Phoenix Josh show a year ago. (3/25/07)
I scrapped one of these on the anniversary of that show.
Not so sure I like the girliness of them. Both from sketches.
A Rusty Pickle Pirate Book I made in a class last August, but finally put pictures in tonight.
We're doing another Rusty Pickle class next month, am excited!! Amy did you get the email about it? If not I'll fwd it to you.
Happy Josh-i-versarry to me!
3 years ago today I gave Josh a scrapbook that I made with a friend for him. I got to hand it to him...it was a particularly awesome moment. Here's a picture of that...*sigh*
Today I played with my Bind It All for the first time... and made this little book. It's covered with fabric. The J is not affixed on there yet, but if I put Josh pics inside I will probbaly glue that on. Not sure if I like the way the J looks on there.
It was easy to do, but I screwed it up anyhow. First I didn't have the paper in all the way and punched my holes crooked. I just flipped it over and repunched those pages, no big..I covered the edges with red tape so it looks ok. Then I didn't think that my back cover had to be flipped backwards when I punched it to make the holes line up with the front cover... So I had to TAKE IT APART after I bound it to repunch those holes... hence the ribbon on the right side of the cover (thanks TaG for the idea..LOL). Anyway, despite my spazziness I like it. I'll probbaly decorate the inside of it later this week.
Question for you Bind It All users...when you punch the cover & the inside pages, there isn't an option for "continuous punching" that space is blocked... how do you make a bigger book then? Isn't that what the continuous punching thing is for?
I'm off to scrap one more page before bed... that picture above.
It's been sitting in my box waiting for the right moment. It's been 3 years. Now is the time.
Fixed
I had computer freakout this morning. Luckily I have a wonderful friend who is the computer whisperer. He had it fixed in less than half an hour. If I had taken it in to some place I'd have been with out it for a week or more and would have had to pay a couple hundred bucks to fix it... the motherboard overheated and wiped out my bios...not something that's fixable unless you have that computer knowledge. Must say I'm overly thankful for my friend.
Saturday I went to a Stampin' Up card class and made two of each of these cards. It was fun, I'd never been to one before. We used to go to CTMH ones once a month. I didn't buy any Stampin' Up stamps... but I did buy a new stamp scrubber, my old one is just yuck.
Today I went to a friend's house for another friend's birthday crop. I made a minibook using the March ConCroption Kit (and some other stuff) which should be posted on ConCroption soon. Here is a sneak peek. I really love how it came out. It's the first time I've played iwth one of these acrylic albums. Such fun!
I also made 2 Josh pages. Not very exciting. Both from the same song at different shows. The red shirt page is from Anaheim and the other one is from Phoenix. The accent on that page is actually a Christmas ornament from the $1 bin at Michael's. I was going it use it as a stamp, but liked the way it looked on there. There are small silver chandeliers all over that paper. I love Hambly.
I'm going to create photo collages from the other pics from that song on the opposite pages. Why the Chandeliers?? There were chandeliers on the screen behind him while he sang this one, which is one of my faves.
New Toy!
I got my Bind It All today, that I won in the ConCroption February DT contest... Haven't played with it yet (have to watch the instruction dvd...and I feel half dead now) but I took it out of the box and petted it. Here it is basking in the glow of my Josh scrap lamp. It's the sexiest lamp in the universe.
The last two scrap pages I have done were both done while exhausted, and I felt I had no mojo...despite that I'm pretty pleased with both of them.... I think.
Page one was a lift from Gettin' Sketchy. The picture is one someone took of ME! & Josh! in Anaheim. I'm handing him handcuffs to go with the hat, hence the title. Yeah this picture makes me insanely happy.
Page 2 is from picturesmy friend or I took, (we both took tons of pictures and theya re mixed up in my box...I don't remember which ones I took...) in Phoenix on March 17, 2005. It's almost my Josh-a-versarry. LOL. This was the concert where a friend and I gave him a scrapbook we made for him. It's kind of a bittersweet memory as this is the friend that I scrapped about last month, the one who no longer talks to me. I think I am going to scrapbook those pics on Monday to commemorate the event. (The ones of me handing him the book). I've scrapbooked most of this concert and have tons better pics of him since then. I've upgraded my camera and learned some things about concert photography.
My sunburn has started to peel. What a fabulous feeling. Ugh. I got some snails for my classroom today. I hear they multiply like rabbits. How exciting. LOL. I think my kids may all get some to take home at the end of the year. LOL. I started cleaning my scraproom today... moved half of my albums to a shelf in the living room. They were overflowing my scrap closet floor. Moved most of the finished ones out of there.
Nothin's gonna harm you...
Didn't used to be so fond of this song, then Anaheim happened and I was able to be up near the stage for it. Josh sits on the egde of the stage when he sings this one, and invites the first four rows to gather around him while he sings and signs things for them. Only 1 person bettween me and Josh. Then I saw Sweeney Todd... and now, I just love it. These pics were taken in Phoenix from my row 12 seat with my zoom lens, my Anaheim ones are way better.
I actually used some of my new Christmas paper to make these pages. I really needed to escape my own self made red & black curse. I'd only scrapped Josh on red & black for so long (my whole Vegas album) that I was begining to worry if I could move away from that. These pages proved I was able to.
Also there is this coffee cup I made for Jena a couple weeks ago. I mentioned it here. She's finally recieved it in the mail so I can share it here now. It says "squee" down the right side next to the picture of Josh holding coffee.
